I love borscht, but I've never made it. I have no idea why. Beets are so underrated imho.
Y'know, I love beets. I love growing them, eating them, reading about them on blog posts such as yours. Frankly, I love beets all the way around. I mean, if beets had been on the ballot against Obama, well, it would have caused me pause...
That said, never feed a toddler beets when you are babysitting, because the next day when his parents are changing his diaper, the color will frighten them and perhaps even cause an unnecessary dr visit... And no, don't ask me how I know this; I just DO!
Beets intrigue me because when I was growing up, you wouldn't be able to get me near one. Now that I'm older, I think they are wonderful. But mysterious. :)
And honestly - it was the animation that just killed me. :)
